Above it, modules are added — capacity planning from Starter, daily planning and productivity with Professional — plus more breadth: value streams, colleagues, scenarios.
A facilitated value stream workshop with external guidance costs a multiple of a year's subscription. The tool doesn't replace the facilitation — but the two days afterward, spent recalculating the numbers in Excel.

Frequently asked questions
- What does the free plan cost?
- Nothing. It covers one complete value stream with one future-state scenario, two seats and the PDF export. No credit card is asked for.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Taktane runs in the browser. For recording data on the line there is also a printable data sheet.
- Can I take the result with me?
- Yes. PDF export is included in every plan, the free one as well — the result of a workshop is the sheet that ends up on the wall afterwards.
- Can I try it first?
- Yes, without signing up: the demo contains a value stream you can actually edit. Nothing is stored.
- What happens when I hit a limit?
- Existing value streams stay untouched and readable. Only creating further ones is blocked, until you delete one or change the plan.
- How do I change plan?
- You can subscribe to Starter and Professional directly, no request needed — the button on this page takes you to Stripe and back. Enterprise still runs through a request to us. The change applies to the organisation, not to individual accounts — every colleague in it gets it at the same time.
- How do I cancel?
- Via “Manage subscription” in the dashboard — that opens Stripe's customer portal, where you can cancel, view invoices and update your payment method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the plan stays active until then.
